Big Guard Basketball

The Brief

Big Guard is a media broadcasting platform founded by MaJuan Bates, dedicated to educating, exposing, and marketing undersized guards in a sport dominated by tall players. The client needed a bold, sporty web presence that felt like a broadcast network — not a generic sports template — with dedicated sections for weekly content series, player bookings, and a certification program.

What I Built

Designed and developed a multi-page website from scratch, including Home, About, Media, Tour, BG Certified, and Contact pages. The visual identity leans into an ESPN-style sports broadcast feel: heavy condensed typography, diagonal accents, clip-path angled buttons, and subtle basketball court SVG backgrounds woven into section backdrops.
